Lake Superior Kinship
Lance Wurst & Sarah Holst · A Father-Daughter Dialogue
Two artists. One lake. Two ways of loving it.
Lance Wurst paints the Apostle Islands with the patience of someone who has looked at this place long enough to love every detail of it — the ferry, the docks, the harbor in early morning light, rendered in hyperrealistic watercolor. His daughter Sarah Holst asks what the watershed holds and what it could hold again — art rooted in ecological and spiritual vision, alive with the wild resilience of Lake Superior. Side by side, their work becomes a conversation about what it means to belong to a place.
