Lake Superior Stone Amulet

Stitch a felt pouch to hold a special Lake Superior stone to create an amulet. A stone and felt and threads combine the natural grounding energy of a stone with the soft, protective and decorative qualities of stitching to produce a keepsake from the shores of Lake Superior.

Bring your own stone from a walk along the lake, suggested size 2” and no bigger than 3”, or choose a stone from the collection available at the workshop. Fabric scraps, thread, needles, charms, buttons, and other embellishments will be provided along with tools to create the pouch. Bring along any special charm or embellishment you wish to add to your amulet. No previous sewing experience is required. Embroidery stitches will be demonstrated.

Come gather and stitch with others creating a special keepsake from Lake Superior.

Cost: $15 — includes felt, thread, embellishments, sewing tools, coffee/tea bar, treats.

Youth ages 10–15 may register with a registered adult.
