Stitch and Resist
A Juried Show of Textile Art with a Message
Juried by Wanda Raimundi-Ortiz · September 12–20 · Reception September 20 · Free Admission. Pieces available for purchase.
Fourteen artists, twenty-two pieces of textile art with a message — quilts and stitchwork that turn thread into voice. This is craftivism: making as a form of resistance, each stitch a small, deliberate act of speaking up. Island Gateway’s first curated exhibition, and the closing show of our inaugural season.
